Almost a year?
no? yes?
Sorry for those seeking this blog trying to find updates or infos, i have been demotivated ever since I ran out of budget to work on the house hehe..
The blog is supposed to discuss about other projects too but I guess my passion is more on the house so I get distracted for months.
So...what is new and how is it after 2 years plus now? coming to 2.5 years living in Pajam.
1. Pajam and the house
a) The bau thing - still there once in a while however it became a lot less, we have peaceful makan2 and kenduri and I do hope with so many complaints that the community made lama2 akan hilang.. see i told you. Problems do get solved even if it takes yearssssssss... but Malaysia is like that, we learnt to be patient kan....
b) lalat - i dah berbulan2 tak masak but last week i ada lah masak sikit pergi pasar sikit, memang kurang dah lalat tu...infact i tak nampak sekor lalat pun weekend lepas , musim hujan kot?...yang mengannoykan diri i ialah lipas sekarang ni....
c) Pajam Development service - taklah perfect, tapi mereka masih layan la gak walaupun tak ada warranty dah... kalau i complaint dinding i tu magic boleh serap air ..... sampai banjir living room. so mereka datanglah lepas dah remind 2 atau 3 kali.... dan 2 atau 3 weekend nanti datanglah dia..
I am adapting to the culture, tak ada nak cepat2 sangat... slow and steady nanti dia datang jugak, asal datang i happy.... huhu..
d) quality of the house... I am still thankful for the house.. appreciate the design, the bedrooms etc.. tapi pintu2 toilet, pintu belakang kena hujan or air... kembang.... so... i am waiting for another budget to replace the doors... not all... just the 7 toilet doors and the back door. huhu.. can you see why i get demotivated, i have not started with enhancement project, but i have to fork out budget for maintenance and replacement already *cry*
e) The community - A LOT of improvement since we moved in 2013. we have RELA security guards now and barriers made from barrel. I am ok with that.
f) jalan raya and traffic - i think it will get better in 10 years time... but more housing coming up so the traffic jam is already worst now unless if you want to take LEKAS.. for me I cant coz I will hit grandsaga or SILK which is much worst than PLUS north south highway.
2. Review on product
a) Alpha fans - we bought 5, repaired 3.
b) Deka fans - we bought 3, no repair, change remote battery saja so far after 2 years
c) sink (whatever brand we bought the other day) - all ok tak ada rosak, bocor, tahan air panas, tak sumbat etc. (penapis dia gerek kan)
d) BEKO washing machine and dryer - after 2 years and heavy duty sebab anak i 4 tiap2 hari basuh baju, weekend sampai 3 or 4 kali round, still good!
e) oven, microwave - I lupa brand nanti i update. oven pecah cermin pintu due to heat.. microwave punya paper kat dalam tu terbakar so am waiting for me to be less lazy to buy spare part. so will not recommend this brand.
f) hob and hood - lupa brand but same family with oven and microwave, hood spare part patah juga , hob one of the burner not functioning maybe sebab i malas cuci selalu so dia sumbat. also will not recommend this brand.
My lessons learnt, sometimes cheap but good concept will work but in e and f it doesnt work for me.
Most important thing : Do I have any regrets buying the house? Yes and no.
Yes sebab the space is great, we like it that we have 2 bedrooms downstairs and sometimes bila i lepak kat sofa i, i bangun, i nampak nice view macam dalam magazine... so I thankful for that, even with cheap furniture bukan Lorenzo pun i dah puas hati tengok rumah i... kalau tetiba i ada budget letak wall paper ha lagi cantik kot hihi... (yang murah pun tak ada budget cemana tu haha)..
I like my master bedroom and my small walk-in wardrobe... it gave me the feeling of what i always see in the magazine. ya, hidup ni penuh dengan teringin bila tengok... tu namanya nafsu nafsi...tapi i suka... cuma i kena letak fan kat small walk-in wardrobe tu supaya boleh lepak lama2....
Kenapa no then ek?
sebab, sometimes bila i drive pergi keja, i nampak condo modern di bangsar, tercetus perasaan, tinggal kat condo pun best gak walau kecik.... tak yah kerja teruk2 kena bayar rumah bulan2.... hahahaha...... tu je lah.....yang tak bestnya....

House Project: The spacious bungalow
What is your criteria of a house?
Dulu, I do not care about anything else but outdoor space for my children. And I thought terrace house in Malaysia has a standard layout anyway so why bother, yang penting it must be 22x70 or above. Tu bagi aku.
But, lepas dah view "dual entrance" house in Nilai Impian, I thought, that was the best layout of a terrace house ever! sebab tu I offer tuan rumah tu terus tanpa berfikir. Masa tu , I want a corner house with specific budget - 400k and below to be exact.
The dual house tu ada long entrance which is perfect. Spacious kitchen tapi macam australian apartment punya style, masuk kitchen dulu muehehe...I tak paham kenapa they do it that way, maybe so they will get the balcony to have the view (for the apartment in australia) but it did not bother me at all.
The living room is in between and dining room is facing the garden. I really want that. And the whole housing for that particular area is facing the playground/garden. Perfect sangat.
But the bank value is lower than the market value. Aku rasa bank tak pandai la bab property ni muahaha! Tu jer problem buying the house in Nilai area ni. And my criteria at that time is no additional cash for the deposit, so I have to let go the house with pain in my heart. I thought I could not find another house as good as that one. I cried the hardest the day I have to let go of that house.
Allah knows best kan. MasyaAllah!! Allahuakbar.
Another best layout so far IMHO.
Last weekend selepas berbulan2 curious pasal bungalow di rumah I itu, kitorang ternampak pekerja2 tengah bersihkan rumah. Tukang cat tu kitorang kenal dan dia kata boleh masuk, so teruslah I start keta and view the house with my daughter....
And I tell you it was a bad bad decision. Why? Sebab lepas tu depress hahaha!
The exterior design.
This is the view from the Super Spacious balcony! Walaupun blocked but farrrr beyond, it is still good view.
The kitchen is twice ours! you can play futsal here.
And you can have 2 or 3 seating here IMHO. Or 1 seating room , 1 living room. Whatever it is I love the space.
This is to die for. I am very envious of this space. This is the suppose to be walk-in wardrobe. If I "ever" think that I have a cool walk in, this space really make me feel stupid for thinking that way hahahahaha! I memang tau i tak akan afford to have a walk in ala2 kardashian clan kan, tapi bila tengok ni, macam rasa, pehal ko berangan, ko tengok ni. muahahahaa!
This is the hall towards the master bedroom. Class ko! master bedroom ada hall, ada lounge, ada balcony. Gilos privacy.
The parking punya bumbung.
this is how big it is for a small gal like my dotter.
The balcony... percayalah, belum sampai2 lagi ke master bedroom... haha...punya besar!
The dining room also I like. hidden space from living room. and separate from kitchen... owh.. gila best layout dia. Whatever we the traditional women wants.
It is still available. If you want to buy, drop a comment, I will insist from the developer for a commission if you buy through me lol.
On serious note. If I put my realtor's hat, I would recommend this house for you. The drawback maybe there isn't swimming pool. But you can build that later to increase the market value of your property. It is freehold. It is 45 mins from KL. It is near to college town Nilai, it will soon... attract the "professional" foreigners. I have seen a pool of them staying near here, (angmoh not the black noutoriuos kind), maybe korean as well. I know there are koreans who study at the international school in Nilai. They said it is cheaper to study here.
Price? We talk later :) The heart must like and love this property first.
The developer throws air-cond, fans, lighting, alarm systems and some simple landscape. Last I saw them putting blind at kitchen window.

Bau busuk di Pajam part 2
Told you, dulu2 sebelum beli rumah kitorang memang freak out pasal bau busuk ni. hehehehe!
FREAK OUT giler punya freak out, sampai malam2 hujan2 lebat pun kita drive kesini just to make sure we can live with it, and to confirm this is what we want before we put down the deposit.
I tell you those days are the most tense days ever. Salesperson kept on calling saying, this is the last unit, with this price... 3 buyers are asking for this unit bla bla bla.
It was moments like "maybe we should just let go" "but the house is so nice" "maybe this is Allah saying we should not do this" "bayar jer la jom"
kakakakaka.....
Punya google sampai luka2 jari (konon) pasal komen orang tinggal sini muehehe. Tapi cuma jumpa last update was aug 2011 ke apa pasal bau ni. Forum facebook tu macam tak berapa sangat update pasal bau. So basically we do not know how serious this problem will be to us.
So NOW.... I felt that I have a social responsibility to update muehehe. so all of you needing this info knows how to cope with it later. Hope it could calm your nerve down. :P
Selepas jer I buat entry lepas, keesokkan harinya NO MORE smell, ok. Didn't I tell you, it is just a once in a while kind of thing?
Morning is good. You can jog, you can smell your backyard, siram rumput dan enjoy.
Malam, you can open the window back.
The children are still pretty much oblivious about the smell.
Oh I forgotten to put one very strong opinion last time.
I said even if it takes 10 years to resolve the problem, insyaAllah it will be resolved, right? That is what I said? If you think that you would have a hard time selling it later, please dun be.
1st, it is freehold. whatever is freehold is good :) That is my opinion as ex-realtor in Singapore. :)) I always love freehold as compared to leasehold. It is some assurance for me. I do not know about you :P
2nd, it is 45mins to KL and some 30 mins to Putrajaya/cyberjaya. Maybe some 20mins to Kajang.
3rd, The layout of the house and the size of the house, how can you get this elsewhere? In my humble opinion the layout is oh so clever. You can't get similar layout in "wanted areas"...ok until i see the bungalowlah.. Later I show you picture. Me and my daughter dun seems happy after our site visit last weekend kakaka!
So kalau lagi 10 tahun baru habis masalah bau ni, your house area and sekeliling sure dah bertambah maju, now pun population dah spilled over to these sites up to seremban 2, InsyaAllah, your freehold value will still be there.
BUT, again, IMHO, if you want to buy for investment and get the profits quick, dun think you should pour your money here. I underline quick because quick in my definition is once you get the key, and you want to resell for profits. You should do that at bukit jalil, PJ, Kinrara, KL etc. For me, you should do apartment. things that easy to let go and easy to get purchaser.
Ok that is all my wisdom for bau busuk for today :)

Bau busuk di Pajam
Going to be 4 months soon since we moved to Pajam.
My colleagues said "of all place, why move to Kampung.." or... "even the unifi gal tak pernah dengar nama your place... " even .."if I were to move to somewhere, I will make sure the place punya nama got commercial valuelah" (like I care? haha!)
Yes, they often mistakenly heard "Pajam" as "Kajang". I know! Tell me about it!
Your fault not mine. I have not heard about the place before we bought a house here but I am sure I did not mistakenly heard it as Kajang. Maybe she is just super excited to close her sale that she wants to hear Kajang. Kan?
Btw, Pajam is not yet unified..
Anyway, I think throughout the Semenanjung has been hot lately. Maybe it is summer now here. It was just so unbearably hot at night. Last month we open our windows quite often.
But last 3 days, around 8-9pm (right before Merlin) the smell is very very strong. memang gila nak muntah lah kalau nak pergi kunci gate. Last night for the first time, bau taik ayam yang mereka gembar gemburkan selama ni baru I terbau :)
That was my first time to smell it. OMG! It was super terrible. I do not even want my parents to be here during this time.
Some of the residents here dah buat macam2.... dah engage MPN lah, gerakan umno lah, dah buat solat hajat, dah masukkan kat KOSMO, news, dan terbaru dialogue with wakil rakyat. But still NOTHING drastic.
It is something yang surprisingly did not go away easily. Remember selalunya kalau dah masuk paper etc, kelam kabut wakil rakyat akan uruskan. But here, noooooopeeeee... It is still stagnantly there.
According to the latest answer from the wakil rakyat or whoever lah, the owner of the kandang ayam tu in progress of upgrading their facilities.
For the sampah tu, even though they said they have built the "god knows whatlah" to convert the sampah sarap to energy, the smell is still there lah. If you pass over the highway, you will see it is as big mountain as it is. maybe the same big size as the hill surrounded the arealah.
We did not see this in Singapore, the smallest country in Asia. Because? They have systems. They care about it. They think about it.
Here? I think , they expect the rakyat to bear with it. Be patience with it. That this is normal. otherwise where do you want to campak the sampah right? It will be big investment to do indoor garbage disposal (like in singapore etc).
Anyway, I am frustrated at the speed of how they solve this MAJOR problems. It does not makes sense to have to bear with any smells. I am not sure if this is healthy for the residents. Imagine for those who have lived here since day 1 - the kampung2 etc. Who voice this out to the relevant party ? arghh... so frustrating and kesian.
For those who have bought the house. Relax. Do not panic. But anyway, as much as this is a big disadvantage of staying here, once we are in the house, our life is pretty much normal. I'm glad the children almost did not notice of the smell. They have never complaint.
This morning it is back to normal. No smell. So to abandon the house and your big investment for something like that (it is also once in a while kind of thing) maybe not worth it. We could have bought the same square feet areas at Puchong BUT for 1.5Mil, over here the price is 800k cheaper. Kalau 8 ringgit maybe stupid decisionlah... Trust me we have considered this hehe...even solat istikharah, we even ONCE cancelled our purchased, but then we could not find something bigger and with enough rooms with the price. I even so desperately takut salah decision I solat hajat mintak angin bawak bau tu ke tempat lain masa ramadhan yang lepas... at that time we were not even staying here... :P
I am very sure, it will be resolved. It is just a matter of time. Even if it takes another 10 years it will be resolved. Trust me as no problem with no resolution :) Nevertheless, whoever is ruling, it is bad bad bad management ok! Noone deserves to live in a place with any smell! You have the power to change this, please do it.

Pajam after 3 mths
Quickly.
It has been almost 3 months after we move.
We still love our house.
Busuk - no issue for us, its once in a while. Weekend tak sangat , the children can play outside happily. malam we can still open the door
lalat - no issue. it can be mitigated easily.
traffic jam - i work in KL, kalau sg besi tak sibuk macam cuti sekolah ni 30 mins dah sampai. the traffic will get worst if you went out 730am onwards i guess. worst pun tak worst. you will not swear or anythinglah. It is a moving traffic.
Kalau time sibuk I have to follow the jalan jauh, which is able to reach on time too. cuma toll mahal. I have no complaints so does my husband.
kalau nak ke putrajaya or puchong - boleh ikut jalan sepang, dengkil cuma kat sepang jer ada satu simpang yang traffic light dia slow skit. resulted in long queue. tapi no toll kalau ke putrajaya. kalau puchong kenalah.
jalan alternative is plus highway, selama ni is moving traffic - means banyak kereta, tapi moving, never stop and it is only about 1-2km before it clears off. so no problem for me.
Jalan batang benar, after 3mths, I am adjusted well. My husband who kuat komplen (sbb dia sporean - mana ada traffic jam kat sana) never really complaint or whined about this. So I guess no big issue on this.
developer - maybe sebab rumah besar ker atau seri pajam memang bagus, tapi so far services very good. they attend to our complaint very fast. I hope bukan sebab rumah besar but their new motto yang assure the high quality of their houses that motivates them.
So that is all I can say. I am not paid ya :)

The news and Pajam-KL-Pajam
I've got news yesterday.
But since I am not ready to tell anyone even to my hubby, I will just keep it to myself first.
I have to be ready before I get all these questions from others. So for me to embrace the news, accept it with all rasa bersyukur etc. I really need to be with myself.
Anyway.
It has been about 2 weeks since we moved to Pajam.
I have adjusted (almost).. on the way to and from work.
Sg Besi punya jalan I dah crossed. never, ever use this on working days or peak hours.
So I try ambil PLUS highway, exit puchong, take MEX - too far, traffic ada sesikit slow dekat exit Kajang and mahal pun mahal...
Then ambil pula jalan ikut Nilai, Salak Tinggi - tembus MEX - ok but due to traffic, selalu sangat 15 mins late sampai office.
Today, I tried jalan KLIA(is it SKVE or NKVE? mak tak fasih nama2 highway ni), lalu jalan nak ker science park 2, then MEX - baru ok dan cepat. tapi toll? Toll dekat RM10.
Balik pulak, I prefer MEX, lalu cyberjaya dan putrajaya, then ikut jalan salak tinggi. Toll about RM4.10.
For my sanity and tardiness at work , I will have to invest RM13.80 everyday. The duration? Pergi - keluar 6:55, sampai 8:15am. Balik, 530pm, sampai 6:55pm gitu..
Tapi tak apa, ada rebate kan. So I can still bear with this.
Is it worth to stay far?
Yes, provided that you love the house. The house is your dream house. The house is better than your previous house. The kids enjoyed the house. You love the kitchen in the house and you do not have laundry problems with the house, and lastly... you just love everything about the house. hehe... Will there be a house with the same price nearby the work? no? so... that's just about one's choice.

Adjusting to Pajam
Sebelum beli rumah ni, banyak cerita-cerita negative yang di dengar.
1. Bau busuk
2. Lalat yang banyak
3. Jalan raya kecil
So walaupun sendiri cari maklumat negative ni, pergi ker tapak rumah untuk mengalami sendiri, tapi akhirnya still decide the house itself is a good buy and we will not get this anywhere else (with this price) in Klang Valley area.
Bau busuk
Kadang-kadang masa hujan ada bau, kadang-kadang hujan tak ada bau.
Nak masuk maghrib, whether hujan or not, ada bau tapi lepas isyak hilang da bau, sometimes bau prolong sampai entah bila.
Macamana kita cope? Sama macam hal lalat nanti.
Lalat
Kalau balik dari pasar, tengah nak menyiang ikan or basuh ikan, lalat tu hurung macam ada bangkai di tepi sungai. A lot! Never seen like this all my life. Not in my hometown, not during my asrama days in Kajang or Segamat (or even Perth), and not in Puchong.
Bila dengar or baca blog orang pasal ni, macam tak boleh imagine, now I know how bad it is.
So kalau ada buffet table nak hidang makanan pun tak boleh lama. Sampai guest akan terganggu...
So macamana nak tackle problems ni?
Jangan buka pintu dan tingkap. so bila masak habislah berbau satu rumah. but I have my sanity.
Jalan raya kecil
Dulu, sebelum tinggal sini, dan kita just come here once in a while, this matter is not a problem. But sekarang bila drive pergi kerja, balik kerja etc, baru terasa kenapa orang lain dulu complaint pasal jalan yang kecil.
a) Bila jalan kecil dan banyak pula lorry, I tell you it is difficult to cope with the traffic.
b) Kalau malam, there is some portion of the road, very dangerous dan gelap, di tambah lagi dengan sebab tempat ni berbukit kot?
Given all the above, do we make the right decision by staying in Pajam?
Yes and yes.
Despite yang negative points, we still love so many things about the house.
Love the new kitchen. Love the size of the kitchen. Love the arrangements of things in the kitchen.
The kids now like to pop up in the kitchen, asking for food. Atau, lebih tepat lagi, nampak saja I di kitchen, mesti "nak makan" something. They know where I put "the pancakes", the pancakes syrup, the bread etc. They know when I have stocks for spaghetti.
Terasa macam Nigella Lawson at times. I masak and the kids waited for it. Grr tapi best jugak rasanya.... (Tapi sementara nak tunggu siap tu, ada lah seround dua mereka sangat bingit bermain, dan berselang seli dengan pergaduhan sengit juga hehehehehe)
Walaupun tension tapi I enjoyed sangat. Tension sebab I kena basuh the dishes jer kerjanya... Kerja menyusun baju di atas bila nak start pun tak tau sebab asyik sibuk di dapur....
I love my laundry area yang bagi I sungguh inspired by the pictures I googled. But the place is not yet fully functional. Now I kerjakan my 2nd laundry area, I love my awning yang sungguh murah itu, how I wish I make more clever decision by extending it to the fullest and if I have budget, to put proper tiles so hujan I senang.....Bolehlah jadik my 2nd hiding place other than the kitchen.
I love the shower too. Like my hubby said "the difference is, dulu penat malas nak mandi, now penat macamana pun looking forward untuk mandi.."
Si DS, malam pun dia rajin mandi. Tapi menjerit bila I ter"off" the water pump. Opps! ingat nak save electricity mana tau ada orang mandi malam2 buta.
I love the fans, but I do not like the downlight arrangement. Hari tu sebab malas nak conflict banyak2 dengan si David, dan nak cepat, I suruh jerlah dia buat 1 switch for all downlights. Jadik, kalau i ada 6 downlights, semua terbuka dan sangat terang. Good in a way, but I tak suka terang2 sangat sebenarnya, so I rasa, I have to find reading lamp or bedside lamps to reduce the lighting.
I love the wardrobe but have not gotten the chance to organize the baju2 inside so .. I belum betul2 into the "wardrobe systems" lagi.
I have not enjoyed the lawn, the backyard or the frontyard yet, coz I have continued with the BAU duties already. Kebanyakannya on mengemas, laundry, memasak, dan rectifications.
My siblings dropped by. And so far they were impressed with the "longkang cover" and "water pump" that were provided by the developer. Yelah, jual rumah jauh2 kalau tak ada frills sapalah yang nak tinggal sini kan.
Seriously, I tak berapa nak sempat ambil gambar sebab sibuk dengan dapur dan budak2...I try tomorrow.
Nilai Giant and Tesco
Semalam I pergi hantar kereta basuh dan wax di Giant Nilai. Sambil tengok2 keadaan sekeliling. Tesco kami dah pergi beberapa kali, rupanya Giant lagi happening.
Nandos pun ada. Yang paling melegakan, babies shop banyak juga, senang nak beli Tommie Tippee products. Tak payah drive jejauh ke Alamanda gitu....
Extra Curriculum for the kids
Ada piano class juga di Giant ni but I could not call the person. Bolehlah DD resume her piano class. Taekwondo class for DS belum jumpa, tapi tak apa, we targetted to resume in 1st Feb, still have time.
I met Karate class instructor at SK Batang Benar, (chinese rasanya) tapi malaslah nak start all over. DS is already a blue belt 2.
We need to resume the tahfiz class as well. We have not decided whether we should go to Bangi or find a class somewhere in Nilai or Seremban. But have not find any info on that.
Kumon, we know there is 1 in BBN, the 2nd nearest is Bandar Mahkota, tapi let us settle down first sebab to chauffer them to and fro is also a chore. We really need to coordinate our time and adjust to this new lifestyle.
Given all the above, do we make the right decision by staying in Pajam?
Yes and yes.

9 days without internet and TV, school in Pajam and nursery...
Flashback
I would say that we start to speed things up on 31 Dec 2012. (really speed things up like 200km/hour)
I was supposed to work that day. I mengemas dan angkat barang/boxes during weekend (the M-day was on 29th Dec's night kan) sampai kaki bengkak. So at that point, I memang dah tak boleh drive as I have pushed myself to the limit.
I was on medical leave 31st Dec tu. I remember I told myself over and over again, even though my foot dah cedera, I still have to finish this, so the kids can start school and my parents can stay here comfortably.
So dengan keadaan yang begitu, bila the electrician tak datang nak habiskan hacking hari tu, I memang lah menjerit over the phone. esp when he promised me dia nak duit the day before so he will finish all the work by monday. 12pm monday, still no sign of him, I was so mad and scream to him over the phone and to my relief he came to my place within 1 hour. Nasib baik habis. Lepas tu I gaduh lagi dengan dia, sapa plak nak tampal kopak2 tu, as I do not want to pay extra to any guys to help me conceal just coz he is so bad in coordination. So he agreed to settle it.
So walaupun he sucks at times, he can still be responsible dan tak berbelit2 macam En H so tahap ketensionan I pada dia tak lah se-max macam I tension dengan En H tu...
By 1st, all concealed, dah boleh bersihkan rumah. Tu yang kelam kabut on the 1st of January - cat rumah sana, kemas rumah sini.... sampai tak tahu new year.
Memang tak sempat tengok TV. And I was "disconnected" from my internet connection from 31st Dec onwards....except for FB - I can still check status via my BB.
Schooling in Pajam
In between supervising the contractors/electrician man/delivery man/ and mengemas, we dropped by to the SJKC Kg Baru Pajam to meet up with the headmistress.
It is good that we met her. We were able to clear the tension and "assumptions" of her request to interview the parents. We also got to know that she will be transferred to Seremban on 3rd of Jan.
Another bonus was, we found out through her that our 6 years old can join the SJKC Tadika there. (cuma kena minta tandatangan pengesahan dari majikan dan ketua kampung - bila i sibuk pasal rumah, memang quite a challenge to get the signature etc)...Anyway, that really solve our problems on tadika arrangement. Jauh juga Smart reader, and transport already a problem in this location. We were like.. so lost at the beginning and to think that we dropped everything to see her, dengan berpakaian ala2 contractor, compang camping dan basah sana sini, ada juga kebaikannya!
So we begin to like the SJKC school and the tadika. The tadika setup quite new and modern (chairs and tables are new) so our 6 years old have no problems adjusting when we first brought him there. So solve all problems about school! Alhamdulillah....
School Transport in Pajam
Another problem we faced is transport. Dah lega sekolah2 ni semua within 1-2 km from our house, but transport pulak susah nak cari. I did try to ask from the PCH forums but semua senyap saja. So we assume, memang transport problems lah di lokasi ni, sangat menakutkan pada mulanya!
After the first week school over, we still can't find transport. We found one for our daughter to SK Batang Benar and that was it. Seram sangat!
That weekend we went to Singapore. Ahad pagi balik, I went for house painting and house handover in Puchong, while my hubby was assigned to solve the school transport issue.
Alhamdulillah we were able to solve it for all transport arrangement for the 3 school goers. Thanks to my hubby for his perseverence.
KAFA in Pajam
Having been in Selangor for all my life, I was also "culture shock" to know that the sekolah agama was not like what we used to have in Selangor.
Kalau nak yang "normal" have to travel all the way to Beranang ikut jalan kampung, which is abt 10 mins drive melalui kebun2 dan sunyi. Transport yang dekat lagikan problems ini kan ke Beranang?
I decided to drop the idea of "normal" sekolah agama, and brave myself to follow with the "norms" in Pajam saja. I get to know the class only 3 days in a week (which breaks my heart sebab I doubt it so much apa lah sangat yang mereka dapat belajar, or whether they will get to learn like what I used to have during my SRA days). But since we have little choice (and no better choice), that looks like the best choice ever. Dekat 500 ustazah, dan 500 kali aku tanya ustazah dan ustaz if anak aku boleh apply masuk asrama penuh sekolah ugama dengan peperiksaan UPKK darjah 5 tu saja. hahahaa! like macam real lah aku dah decide to send my daughter to sekolah agama asrama penuh gitu kan! Talk about being a kiasu mum!
UPKK is a standardized and recognized "peperiksaan dan sijil" all over the state. While periksa darjah enam tu cuma Selangor jer yang recognize huhuhuhu....
So basically we have solved this problems with this choice.
SK Batang Benar juga masuk TV9 new year hari tu sebab dikatakan "sesak" , so aku a bit terkejut dengan "sesak" tu bila dia cuma ada 3 kelas jer.... habis Puchong and cyberjaya kira lagi sesak lah kan? huhu...
Nursery
Lagi satu problems ialah nursery arrangement for our 4th child and "transit" children. Tak nampak plak ada nursery kat kawasan ni, sampai lah we all interview staff Seri Pajam. Baru tahu ada. tapi being the only 1, memang lah "sesak"... but that is the only best choice we have.
Again, we will live with this arrangement until we have a better solution.
The Kid's Comments
1 obvious good thing is, all the kids enjoy their new school. Infact they said it is a better school than their previous school. mungkin sebab environment kampung, sekolah kecik, dan "nilai-nilai murni" yang di terapkan so budak2 tak havoc sangat macam kat Puchong tu.
Itu kami lega.
Sebenarnya, aku ingat lagi.
So maybe Allah kasi I jumpa owner tu bukan untuk beli rumah (as the deal was burst) but to give me lessons learnt about the school.
Memula kitorang phobia dengan nama tu. Sebab sangat kampung dan sedikit "weird" nama dia.. hehehehehheehe... langsung tak glamer. But we learnt to accept the fact that nama tak penting, yang penting akhlak anak2.... dan the surroundings.
Adjusting to new location
Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully we will adjust to this new location a bit faster so everyone can settle down asap.
