Adjusting to Pajam

Sebelum beli rumah ni, banyak cerita-cerita negative yang di dengar.
 
1. Bau busuk
2. Lalat yang banyak
3. Jalan raya kecil
 
 
So walaupun sendiri cari maklumat negative ni, pergi ker tapak rumah untuk mengalami sendiri, tapi akhirnya still decide the house itself is a good buy and we will not get this anywhere else (with this price) in Klang Valley area.
 
 
Bau busuk
 
Kadang-kadang masa hujan ada bau, kadang-kadang hujan tak ada bau.
 
Nak masuk maghrib, whether hujan or not, ada bau tapi lepas isyak hilang da bau, sometimes bau prolong sampai entah bila.
 
Macamana kita cope? Sama macam hal lalat nanti.
 
 
Lalat
 
Kalau balik dari pasar, tengah nak menyiang ikan or basuh ikan, lalat tu hurung macam ada bangkai di tepi sungai. A lot! Never seen like this all my life. Not in my hometown, not during my asrama days in Kajang or Segamat (or even Perth), and not in Puchong.
 
 
Bila dengar or baca blog orang pasal ni, macam tak boleh imagine, now I know how bad it is.
 
 
So kalau ada buffet table nak hidang makanan pun tak boleh lama. Sampai guest akan terganggu...
 
So macamana nak tackle problems ni?
 
Jangan buka pintu dan tingkap. so bila masak habislah berbau satu rumah. but I have my sanity.
 
 
Jalan raya kecil
 
 
Dulu, sebelum tinggal sini, dan kita just come here once in a while, this matter is not a problem. But sekarang bila drive pergi kerja, balik kerja etc, baru terasa kenapa orang lain dulu complaint pasal jalan yang kecil.
 
 
a) Bila jalan kecil dan banyak pula lorry, I tell you it is difficult to cope with the traffic.
b) Kalau malam, there is some portion of the road, very dangerous dan gelap, di tambah lagi dengan sebab tempat ni berbukit kot? Tak ada lampu jalan pulak tempat yang berbukit ni. Bila jalan kecil, ada pemandu yang memandu laju, haruslah very dangerous malam2 tu bila berselisih dengan mereka. Naknya yang kat tempat tak nampak kenderaan di hadapan (sebab berbukit) tetiba pemandu tu beraksi bahaya nak memotong lori, Nauzubillah kalau berselisih.
 
Aku pun tak paham dengan pemandu yang gini... Mintak dijauhkan dari kami semualah....

Given all the above, do we make the right decision by staying in Pajam?

Yes and yes.

Despite yang negative points, we still love so many things about the house.

Love the new kitchen. Love the size of the kitchen. Love the arrangements of things in the kitchen.


The kids now like to pop up in the kitchen, asking for food. Atau, lebih tepat lagi, nampak saja I di kitchen, mesti "nak makan" something. They know where I put "the pancakes", the pancakes syrup, the bread etc. They know when I have stocks for spaghetti.

Terasa macam Nigella Lawson at times. I masak and the kids waited for it. Grr tapi best jugak rasanya.... (Tapi sementara nak tunggu siap tu, ada lah seround dua mereka sangat bingit bermain, dan berselang seli dengan pergaduhan sengit juga hehehehehe)

Walaupun tension tapi I enjoyed sangat. Tension sebab I kena basuh the dishes jer kerjanya... Kerja menyusun baju di atas bila nak start pun tak tau sebab asyik sibuk di dapur....


I love my laundry area yang bagi I sungguh inspired by the pictures I googled. But the place is not yet fully functional. Now I kerjakan my 2nd laundry area, I love my awning yang sungguh murah itu, how I wish I make more clever decision by extending it to the fullest and if I have budget, to put proper tiles so hujan I senang.....Bolehlah jadik my 2nd hiding place other than the kitchen.


I love the shower too. Like my hubby said "the difference is, dulu penat malas nak mandi, now penat macamana pun looking forward untuk mandi.."


Si DS, malam pun dia rajin mandi. Tapi menjerit bila I ter"off" the water pump. Opps! ingat nak save electricity mana tau ada orang mandi malam2 buta.


I love the fans, but I do not like the downlight arrangement. Hari tu sebab malas nak conflict banyak2 dengan si David, dan nak cepat, I suruh jerlah dia buat 1 switch for all downlights. Jadik, kalau i ada 6 downlights, semua terbuka dan sangat terang. Good in a way, but I tak suka terang2 sangat sebenarnya, so I rasa, I have to find reading lamp or bedside lamps to reduce the lighting.


I love the wardrobe but have not gotten the chance to organize the baju2 inside so .. I belum betul2 into the "wardrobe systems" lagi.


I have not enjoyed the lawn, the backyard or the frontyard yet, coz I have continued with the BAU duties already. Kebanyakannya on mengemas, laundry, memasak, dan rectifications.


My siblings dropped by. And so far they were impressed with the "longkang cover" and "water pump" that were provided by the developer. Yelah, jual rumah jauh2 kalau tak ada frills sapalah yang nak tinggal sini kan.


Seriously, I tak berapa nak sempat ambil gambar sebab sibuk dengan dapur dan budak2...I try tomorrow.


Nilai Giant and Tesco


Semalam I pergi hantar kereta basuh dan wax di Giant Nilai. Sambil tengok2 keadaan sekeliling. Tesco kami dah pergi beberapa kali, rupanya Giant lagi happening.


Nandos pun ada. Yang paling melegakan, babies shop banyak juga, senang nak beli Tommie Tippee products. Tak payah drive jejauh ke Alamanda gitu....


Extra Curriculum for the kids


Ada piano class juga di Giant ni but I could not call the person. Bolehlah DD resume her piano class. Taekwondo class for DS belum jumpa, tapi tak apa, we targetted to resume in 1st Feb, still have time.


I met Karate class instructor at SK Batang Benar, (chinese rasanya) tapi malaslah nak start all over. DS is already a blue belt 2.


We need to resume the tahfiz class as well. We have not decided whether we should go to Bangi or find a class somewhere in Nilai or Seremban. But have not find any info on that.


Kumon, we know there is 1 in BBN, the 2nd nearest is Bandar Mahkota, tapi let us settle down first sebab to chauffer them to and fro is also a chore. We really need to coordinate our time and adjust to this new lifestyle.

  1. We have the same feeling, lepas pindah dulu dok pikir lg betul ke nk stay Pajam ni, now i rasa dah suka duduk sini, sangat! dah boleh cope la dngn keadaan kt sini. For us, selagi senang nak access main road/highway then ok. dulu duduk cheras jem dalam taman perumahan..stress! tp still ada la a few things yg mengeluh2 manja..ms mula2 pindah dulu lg la..xde delivery pizza pun dah alaaa....haha!

    masalah lalat tu masa mula2 pindah tu mmg ada, mmg banyak la, sembur serai wangi, ridsect, pakai pelekat lalat, then tiba2 seekor pun takde. Pelik betul. Sebab rumah baru org kata. Sekarang ni kalau ada org buat party/kenduri, lalat datang balik rumah kitorg..esp week end.

    eh, u asrama kajang which school? i dl kt one of islamic boarding school kt kajang..ntah2 you ni my senior haha..

  2. semalam dan hari sebelumnya, lalat dah kurang sikit. maybe betullah cakap you, lama@ akan berkurang ada dua tiga ekor yang tak jumpa jalan keluar lagi nampaknya...

    sy antara pembeli rumah di pajam..sekarang tgh under contruction lagi..citra hill aria park..so masalah lalat dan bau kat sane masih ade lagi x? jalan jem x kalau nak ke KTM batang benar atau nak masuk highway lekas tu? sy keje di seri kembangan..harap dapat membantu..

    I think I ada update on "after 1 or 2 mths staying in pajam". bau tu ada tapi sekali sekala, and it will be gone 10-30mins depending on wind direction. but to us, it is not the utmost annoying experience ke apa, sbb we are only at home during night time. nowadays during the hottest climate, we even open our windows at night and we have no smell problems. so it did not bother us that much.

    on lalat - at first it was too much too handle, but how can we regret buying a house due to lalat kan? hehehe.. after a while it was gone. almost not bothering us at all. yesterday - weekend, it came back, but after some mitigation they were gone.

    so basically - despite all the above, we still love our house. i personally thankful it wasn't near to "pig farm" or something like that, because it will be torturing to live with the smell. so to us - the problems above does not bother us at all. we are still excited with our new house :) so far we have no big regrets of the BIG investment. alhamdulillah. but do solat hajat a lot so less problem you will face later on.

  7. that kuari is not bothering us so much... basically getting the tanah from the hill nearby. the smell is just once in a blue moon. bau ayam pun sama.. when the wind blows to our direction. it wasnt constant.

Xda yang sempurna, bersyukurlah ada perumahan yang besar dan selesa dengan harga yang sebegitu cantik, saya percaya kawasan perumahan di mantin akan membangun dan seterusnya masalah ini akan dpt di atasi, situasinya sama sahaja bila 20 tahun yang lalu orang ingin membeli kediaman di bangi, Shah Alam atau pun tanah ni Sepang ! Pernah sekali orang mengelarkannya dengan 'gila' hanya kerana membeli tanah yang kininya dekat dengan KLIA, kita tidak akan tau masa depan macammana, di Malaysia kediaman yang selesa dah x banyak, yang banyak serkarang kediaman yang cukup2 syarat janinada ruang untuk bergerak x sepadan dengan harga ! itu belum kira jiran yang x bertimbang rasa, bagi yang akan membela haiwan la kan...anyway Saya pun bakal menetap di Aria park type c, memang sangat berpuas ahti walaupun memang dh tahu tentang bau tersebut dan setelah meneliti projek perumahan di kawasan lain, puas sangat

  9. saya dah dapat kunci rumah saya iaitu aria park type b. the problem now is abt the tnb meter yang x dipasang2 lagi even kunci rumah i dah dapat kt tgn nk masuk dua bulan dah

    saya sampaikan terpaksa panggil kontraktor saya renovate rumah tu sewakan generator set (yg mcm kt pasar malam tu) utk pasang grill. sgt annoying syarat sri pajam tu- sila pasang grill dahulu baru kami akan pasang meter air n kepala paip ape smua. but then ,letrik xde camne nk psg grill?? thats y saya sewa genset.

    bagi org yg nk masuk rumah baru cpt macam kami ni sbb sewa rumah dh nk tamat kontrak,mmg kami terpaksa laju2 buat kerja semata2 nk masukkan meter air punya pasal. geram sgt. kontraktor saya sampaikan tahan berak kencing sbb xde air dalam bilik air. xkan nk membuang kt luar rumah sbb luar rumah je ade watersource.

    pasal meter pula, saya call tnb nilai.tnb nilai kata sri pajam punyer incoming source salah pasang. so setelah sebulan lamanye baru siap betulkn dan skrg tnb sdg tggu payment dari sri pajam utk proceed pemasangan meter. bila saya tny tnb bila dijangka siap? katanya pertghn mac 2014..homai homaiii.. dpt kunci bulan 1,bulan 3 baru dpt letrik ke?

    kemudiannya saya call maintenance sri pajam,maintenance kate kena refer marketing.saya call marketing,marketing kata sila refer unit account,bila saya call unit account,mereka salahkan tnb sbb x buat kerja dan bagi alasan tnb x cukup meter. what the fish? x cukup meter? akal apakah ini?,,,

    the person in charge said bossnya akan contact saya,sampai ke sudah xde newest info...

    kat siapa saya nk mengadu skrg.. saya dh nk kena keluar dari rumah sewa awal bulan mac ni..xkan saya nk pindah randah dua tiga tmpt dalam masa sebulan...

    1. alamak.. kesiannya....

      dulu....i mmg ada dengar about syarat seri pajam on pasang grill dulu baru dapat tnb meter. I read about this before I gotten my key. someone from seri pajam forum juga kata tak banyak stock meter tu so owner kadang kena appeal and follow up sendiri.... sebab tu juga katanya kena di grill bagai... etc...

      I am not sure why..tapi masa I dapat kunci dan masuk rumah, no such problem pulak, it was quite fast and efficient.. we anticipated it because we read about it. and ....kita memang tak plan nak pasang grill pun..... So i thoso acaner... forever tak dapat meter ker kan... but anyway at that point of time I thought the service has improved.

      Can you appeal to seri pajam to put your case as priority? Datang saja kat sales office tu cakap dengan salesperson yang jual rumah tu dulu kat you.. insyaAllah saya doakan senang urusan...

      We did actually. The tnb box kebetulannya kami punya boleh lock so probably that is why they give the meter..? entahlah.. I

    2. btw, skrg tgh berlaku di Nada Alam fasa 2a, dapat kunci masa raya hari tu dan sekarang da nak raya haji, meter masih belum pasang lagi, p tnb nilai, dia salahkan seripajam maintenance office, pi maintenance office, dia salahkan tnb balik sebab masalah system baru, last2 p tnb seremban, sampai sana dia kata developer tak pandai isi online, damn! tuan rumah sewa da tnya, bila u all nak pindah sebab tenant baru nak masuk 1hb oct ni, skrg da 8sept, ada 2 minggu lagi kena kosongkan umah, @#$%^&*(

  12. at iv.. we only have 1 choice.. tmnet. it was not so good but that is the only wifi we can have.. even we upgraded to 8gb its still slow.... but still ok than my office so i make do with that for now.

  14. Hye, i duduk area Citra hill. bile pergi TMNET smlm, dia kate x jmp kawasan rumah so x leh nk pasang TMNET. Anyone can advise? sbb kebetulan smlm nmpk mcm meter house of TMNET dkt depan rumah jiran2. tak berkesempatan lg nk menegur jiran2. can anyone help?

  15. Hai all, i plan untuk beli rumah di pajam.. kawasan betul2 depan tol pajam exit lekas.. soalan sy.. masalah ini ada lagi ke after 2018?
    1) masalah bau
    2) lalat
    3) quarry
    Saya masih pening nak beli atau tidak rumah ni.. mintak tolong sangat2 kepada yang tinggal di pajam ni untuk saya membuat keputusan
